With one key exception, guests who wish to visit Volcano Bay must purchase a three-park ticket (the one- and two-park options will only grant you entry to the two theme parks). And just to make it a little on the tricky side, these three-park passes only start at the two-day option, going all the way up to five days (with the pricing per day getting progressively better, just as with the theme parks’ admission).

Back to that one exception: there is a simple, one-day, Volcano Bay-only ticket available, as well. It is, as you’d imagine, the least expensive option out there, although it is – obviously – only good for the water park by itself. (And if you wanted to go for two days or more, you’d have to go back to that default three-park pass we were just talking about.)

Universal’s Volcano Bay Ticket Prices
The basic one-day Volcano Bay ticket costs $80. So far, it doesn’t appear that these passes will be subject to the same seasonal price fluctuations that the one-day theme park admission is (that is, slower days are cheaper, and busier ones are more expensive), but I am sure we’ll hear about it from Universal before assuming what is best for us.

Universal’s Volcano Bay Florida Resident Tickets
Florida residents are able to buy discounted tickets for Volcano Bay – that’s no surprise. What is surprising is that, unlike their out-of-state counterparts, one-day passes for Floridians are seasonally-priced, meaning that their cost fluctuates depending upon the time of year that you go. Expect to see three different rates: $70 (such as during the spring), $75 (during certain stretches of May), and $80 (throughout the whole summer).

Universal’s Volcano Bay Annual Passes
Universal Orlando features four different types of annual passes. Throw in the fact that you can buy a two-park or a three-park version and your head may start to spin just a bit. The four types of annual passes at Universal Orlando are:

Seasonal Pass
The Seasonal Pass comes with a host of blackout dates:
- January 1–3, 2019
- April 12–27, 2019
- July 1–31, 2019
- December 21–31, 2019
There’s also ominous language about concert dates: “Seasonal Passholders are blocked out of Universal Studios Florida on all concert dates and will only receive access to Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Concert dates will be announced at a later date.”
If you choose the three-park option, you’ll be blocked out of the water park, Volcano Bay, for essentially the entire summer (June 14 through August 18).
