The Pangani Forest Exploration Trail is a walk-through attraction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park that takes you through a beautiful tropical forest with many interesting animal habitats along with way. The forest is home to such animals as hippos, gorillas, antelopes and meerkats, as well as exotic birds.
The trail, which takes approximately 30 minutes and was originally named Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail when Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park first opened in 1998, exits close to the Harambe Station, where visitors can take the Wildlife Express Train to Rafiki’s Planet Watch. Dining opportunities near the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail include the Dawa Bar, Harambe Fruit Market, Kusafiri Coffee & Bakery, Tamu Tamu and Tusker House.
Note: The Pangani Forest Exploration Trail is wheelchair accessible.
PANGANI FOREST EXPLORATION REVIEW: The Pangani Forest Exploration Trail is a pleasant walk-through attraction that is rarely crowded, allowing you to take your time and view all of the animal habitats. I recommend taking the Pangani Forest early in the morning and you will practically have the whole trail to yourself. Guides are posted throughout the trail to answer questions about the wildlife that call Pangani Forest home.
