Here are the holiday experiences coming to the Disney Cruise Line for fall and winter.

Disney Cruises are great, but they’re even better during the holidays! The good news is (like at the Disney Parks) two different holidays will be celebrated later this year. That means guests will get to join in on spooky fun with Halloween on the High Seas, and celebrate the holiday season towards the end of the year with Very Merrytime Cruises.

First up is Halloween on the High Seas, which is set to kick off on September 2. The wicked celebration includes: Mickey’s Mouse-querade Party, which features dancing, Disney characters in special costumes, and (of course) a ton of candy; A Nightmare Before Christmas–Sing and Scream, an interactive movie experience where guests are able to take part in the action, and meet Jack and Sally; and even the Haunted Stories of the Sea storytelling session. On top of that, there will also be creepy music performed live by a band of ghostly musicians, and special themed treats.

If you dig the winter holiday, the Very Merrytime Cruises, which begins on November 5, is for you! Special events during this time include: Mickey’s Tree-Lighting Magic, where guests and Disney characters sing holiday carols while lighting the tree in the atrium on the first night of the cruise; Santa’s Winter Wonderland Ball, a party where guests will enjoy a Broadway-style celebration with Santa and Mrs. Claus; Dickens-inspired carolers; the Deck the Deck Holiday Party, a tropical celebration with Disney characters, and fun games like hula hooping, and limbo (under oversized candy canes!). There will also be a special holiday edition of the cheerful farewell celebration on the final night of the cruise, and so much more.

Depending on when they set sail, guests will also be able to experience a Thanksgiving Day feast, a special surprise from Santa and his helpers on Christmas morning, and a New Year’s Eve party. The fun will also extend to Disney’s private island in the Bahamas, Castaway Cay, during the holidays. Themed amenities will also be available, and can be purchased before sailing.
