10 Awesome Things You Didn’t Know About Universal Studios

There’s more secrets than you can shake a wand at Universal Studios

5. Hogsmeade Stamp

If you visit the Owl Post shop at Hogsmeade you can get a special stamp added to your post.

4. The Fountain

As you journey through the Lost Continent at Islands of Adventure keep an eye out for the Mystic Fountain.

It can be found just outside Eighth Voyage of Sinbad stunt show and he is rather cheeky. He will spray unsuspecting onlookers with water, crack jokes and riddles, as well as set quiz questions.

3. The Transformers Elevator

Despite Transformers: The Ride-3D being constructed in a brand new building, there still was not quite enough space to house the attraction.

In order for it to fit comfortably into the area, the ride had to be constructed over two floors. This means that guests will need to be transported between floors. To do this there is an elevator which takes guests to the different levels.

When riding you don’t really notice that you are in the lift thanks to the use of great special effects.

2. Hidden Songs

Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is a high adrenaline roller coaster with a musical element.

You can select from a number of pre-recorded songs to listen to as you hurtle around the track. There is also a built in video recorder that makes sure your ride is captured as you go.

There are 30 songs for you to select from various different musical categories. But what if you don’t like the selections? Well, there are hidden tracks for you to choose from.

Once on the ride with the restraints down, hold onto the ride logo on the screen for about 10 seconds and a keypad will appear. Enter a three digit code for the secret song you want.

1. Dial Magic For The Ministry

If you want to get in touch with the Ministry of Magic you can always give them a call next time you are at Universal Studios.

Head into the phone box and dial M.A.G.I.C (62442) to hear a special message. Unfortunately you do not descend down into the Ministry like in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix but still, Diagon Alley is only around the corner.
