SeaWorld Orlando held their media day for the all new Kraken Unleashed Virtual Reality Experience and it was awesome! Take a look at SeaWorld Orlando‘s new virtual reality version of their classic roller coaster, now called Kraken Unleashed.
Kraken VR, which is currently closed, will re-open with a new story, entrance, queue, loading area and choices to ride wearing uniquely designed virtual reality headsets. Orlando’s only floorless roller coaster will be themed on a huge mythological underwater beast being unleashed from the depths of the sea.
The new land will be an overhaul of the Shamu’s Happy Harbor play area, which has children’s rides and a net climb. Though SeaWorld hasn’t designed the project yet, executives plan an attraction that’s more immersive than the Sesame Street Bay of Play kiddie areas in its San Diego and San Antonio theme parks.
It didn’t take SeaWorld Orlando long to modify an old train with the new VR equipment and we were lucky enough to catch the first few test runs!
