Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park

Billed as the “Coolest Water Park in Central Florida,” Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park features a multitude of thrilling rides and water-based attractions (including 22 water slides) for the entire family – all centered around 220-foot-tall Mount Gushmore! According to Disney legend, Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park was initially intended as Florida’s first ski resort after a freak Florida snowstorm hit the theme park. However, hot temperatures returned and melted the snow and ski trails transformed into thrilling water slides!

Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park Attractions

Highlights of Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park include the thrilling flumes of Runoff Rapids, Snow Stormers racing slides, Downhill Double Dipper, Summit Plummet free-fall slide, Cross Country Creek river ride, Teamboat Springs raft ride, Melt-Away Bay wave pool, Mount Gushmore Chair Lift, Ski Patrol Training Camp and Tike’s Peak children’s play area.

Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park Dining & Shopping
Quick-service dining options at Disney’s Blizzard Beach include Avalunch, Lottawatta Lodge and Polar Pub. Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park also rents towels, life vests and lockers. In addition, picnic areas are available. The Beach Haus at Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park sells souvenirs, T-shirts, sunglasses, hats, bathing suits, suntan lotion, beach towels and more.

Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park Location
Disney’s Blizzard Beach, which first opened in the spring of 1995, lies within Walt Disney World Resort between Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The water park is also adjacent to Disney’s Winter Summerland Miniature Golf, which boasts two 18-hole miniature golf courses that provide fun and challenges for the whole family.

Note: Hours vary seasonally. If capacity is reached at Disney’s Disney’s Blizzard Beach, no further guests will be admitted into the water park. No alcoholic beverages or glass containers are permitted at Disney’s Blizzard Beach.
