Universal Studios Florida, the No. 1 movie studio theme park in the world, takes guests beyond the screen and into the world of television and film to “ride the movies.” Opened in 1990, Universal Studios Florida lies within Universal Orlando Resort – along with Universal’s Islands of Adventure® and Universal CityWalk®.
Universal Studios Florida Highlights
Highlights of the theme park include Revenge of the Mummy, a highly original “psychological” thrill ride that lets you battle an army of “warrior mummies”; Men in Black Alien Attack, an interactive movie ride that allows you to fight off an alien invasion; Twister . . . Ride it Out, which shows you what it’s like to be in the middle of a tornado; Jaws, a thrilling boat ride that brings you face to face with a ferocious, three-ton shark; Earthquake – The Big One, where you can experience what it feels like to survive an earth-shattering quake; Terminator 2: 3-D Battle Across Time, an amazing mix of live action and 3-D film; Fear Factor Live, based on the hit reality TV show; Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, a state-of-the-art roller coaster; and Shrek 4-D, a thrill ride that features Shrek, Princess Fiona and Donkey on a honeymoon adventure.
