Guests can now purchase and redeem tickets to the theme park using the Universal Orlando Resort App. The theme park announced the new service on Monday, according to the Universal Parks blog.
Tickets purchased using the app will appear as a QR code under the menu option called “My Tickets.” The tickets will be scanned at the theme park’s gates.
Only tickets purchased directly from the mobile app using the phone on which they were purchased from will be available in the “My Tickets” section of the application.
The new paperless tickets do not apply to Florida resident tickets or annual passholders. Universal Orlando plans to roll out paperless tickets for Florida resident tickets later this year, according to the Universal Parks blog.
