Highlights of Busch Gardens Africa of the African-themed adventure park include Kumba, Montu and Gwazi, three of the world’s top-rated roller coasters; the new SheiKra dive coaster, which features two 90º drops at 70 miles per hour; Tanganyika Tidalwave; Congo River Rapids; Land of the Dragons, with its multitude of kid-friendly rides; Rhino Rally off-road Safari river adventure; Trans Veldt Railroad; Around the World on Ice; Pirates 4D; and the KaTonga – Musical Tales from the Jungle.
The newest attractions at Busch Gardens include Jungala, which features exotic jungle animals such as orangutans and Bengal tigers, as well as a three-story play area with climbing nets, mazes and exploration tunnels; Jambo Junction, which offers animal feedings, lessons in husbandry and behavior training; and Rock A Doo Wop, a lively show at the Marrakesh Theater that boasts the greatest hits of the '50s and '60s.
In addition, Adventure Island waterpark lies adjacent to Busch Gardens Africa. Annual events at Busch Gardens Africa include Howl-O-Scream in September/October (separate admission fee required).
