RICH’S TRIVIA: Wakulla Springs State Park is home to one of the largest and deepest freshwater springs in the world. The Wakulla Springs Lodge was built in 1937 by financier Edward Ball. Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954) was filmed at both Wakulla Springs and Silver Springs. Underwater scenes from the disaster flick Airport 77, which starred Jack Lemmon, were filmed at Wakulla Springs.
