One of the most popular family-friendly zoos in the United States, the 56-acre Lowry Park Zoo is home to approximately 1,600 animals in their natural habitats. Animals that can be viewed here include leopards, bears, tigers, kangaroos, birds of prey, manatees, elephants, zebras, warthogs, antelope, monkeys and much more. The premises include a Florida wildlife center, manatee hospital, Primate World, Asian Domain, aviary, Safari Africa, petting zoo, carousel, live shows and a rock-climbing wall.
