The 50-acre Brevard Zoo, which first opened in 1994 and is approximately an hour’s drive East of Orlando, boasts nearly 500 animals that represent 130 different species from Florida, Central and South America, Asia and Australia. Highlights of the Brevard Zoo include Paws On Play, Expedition Africa, Wild Florida, La Selva and Austral/Asia. The Serengeti Special Events Pavilion seats up to 300 and is available for private parties, company outings and weddings. Kayak tours and train rides are available.
