One of the six enchanted lands that make up Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park, Adventureland lies just beyond Main Street USA to the left of Cinderella Castle. Just cross the bridge and escape to a South Seas Island, the jungles of Africa, the Amazon River in South America or the mythical city of Agrabah.
Highlights of Adventureland include Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, a truly classic musical revue that features singing birds; Jungle Cruise, a hilarious narrated river tour through various jungle scenarios; The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, a “whimsical spin” aboard a magic carpet; Pirates of the Caribbean, an epic voyage that includes secret caves, sea battles and a bustling Caribbean island town overrun with unruly pirates; and Swiss Family Treehouse, which towers high above Disneys’ Magic Kingdom.
Casual eateries near the attractions include El Pirata Y El Perico, which serves tacos, hot dogs, nachos and taco salads; Aloha Isle, home of the famous pineapple Dole Whips; Sunshine Tree Terrace, which serves snacks and ice-cold refreshments; and Pecos Bill Café, which offers cheeseburgers, hot dogs, wraps and salads. Souvenirs are plentiful here as well at shops such as Agrabah Bazaar, Big Al’s, Bwana Bob’s, The Crow’s Nest, House of Treasure, Island Supply, Tiki Tropics and Traders of Timbuktu – all of which are located in and around Adventureland.
Adventureland is also home to The Pirates League, where you can transform yourself “from a land lubber into a true bucaneer!”
