Based on Jules Vernes' classic science fiction novel, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea was one of the original attractions at Disney's Magic Kingdom and opened on October 14, 1971, 11 days after the theme park's grand opening. Closed in 1994, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea has been partially replaced by a Disney character meet and greet area, as well as a Winnie the Pooh playground.
Cage: A progressive nightclub at Disney's Pleasure Island in the early '90s, Cage tended to attract a variety of increasingly un-Disney World-like punk-rocker types and was replaced by the safer 8TRAX, a dance club with that features '70s and '80s tunes.
Captain EO Video
Directed by Francis Ford Coppola, this 3-D movie starred Michael Jackson and Anjelica Huston and ran from 1986 to 1994 at Epcot's Future World. Captain EO was soon replaced by Honey, I Shrunk the Audience, another 3-D film based upon the hit 1989 movie, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.

If You Had Wings Video
“If you had wings, you could do many things, you could widen your world, if you had wings . . .” Sponsored by Eastern Airlines, If You Had Wings was a unique ride in Tomorrowland that opened in 1972 and closed in 1987. Basically a colorful travelogue that transported guests to such destinations as Rio de Janeiro and Mexico City, If You Had Wings rarely drew a long line and provided the perfect locale for a little relief from Central Florida’s unbearable summer heat. After the ride unceremoniously closed, the site was later occupied by If You Could Fly (1987-89), Delta Dreamflight (1989-96), Disney’s Take Flight (1996-98) and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin (1998- ).
