Home to the interactive Multi-Sports Experience, the 220-acre Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex
hosts a variety of sporting events throughout the year such as Atlanta Braves Spring Training at Champion Stadium (formerly known as Cracker Jack Stadium). Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex draws approximately 250,000 athletes and 1.2 million spectators annually.
Founded in 1997, Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex hosts more than 180 events in 50 different sports annually and has been the site of many sporting events such as the World Baseball Classic, AAU Super Showcase, U.S. Men's Clay Court Championships, Disney's Soccer Showcase, ESPN Battle of the Gridiron Stars, AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour Championships, Pop Warner Championships and U.S. Transplant Games.
Opened in the summer of 2008, the state-of-the-art, 75,000-square-foot Jostens Center at Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex boasts a multi-sports field house that features various indoor sporting events such as basketball, martial arts, wrestling and volleyball. The Jostens Center will feature six basketball courts, 12 volleyball courts and two roller hockey rinks.
In addition, Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex is scheduled to open a 160,000-square-foot bowling stadium in early 2010 that will include 100 lanes, stadium-style seating and a restaurant.
