Mickey's Toontown Fair - Disney's Magic Kingdom Park
Kids of all ages (but especially those of preschool age) will love Mickey’s Toontown Fair, which features a thrilling (kid-friendly) roller coaster, playground, water play area, Mickey’s Country House, Minnie’s Country House and several Disney character meet and greet areas. Designed for small children, this fun-filled area of Disney’s Magic Kingdom lies to the East of Fantasyland and directly North of the Tomorrowland Indy Speedway.
Highlights of this extremely popular area within Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park include The Barnstormer at Goofy’s Wiseacre Farm, a zany roller coaster ride; Donald’s Boat, a small water play area; Toon Park, a playground for preschoolers; Hall of Fame Tent, a Disney character meet and greet area that includes the County Bounty souvenir shop; and Judge’s Tent, where you can meet the one-and-only Mickey Mouse and get autographs and photos. In addition, kids love touring both Mickey’s and Minnie’s colorful country houses. Mickey’s house includes a living room, bedroom, game room, extremely unorganized kitchen and backyard (home to Pluto’s doghouse). Look for hidden Mickey ears throughout the rooms as you take your tour of Mickey’s Country’s House (which is wheelchair accessible).
A train station for the Walt Disney World Railroad is also located directly behind Toon Park and Donald’s Boat. The train travels from Mickey’s Toontown Fair toward stops at the main entrance to Disney’s Magic Kingdom and Frontierland. For a quick bite to eat or ice-cold refreshment in Mickey’s Toontown Fair, check out Toontown Farmer’s Market, which is located in the heart of Toontown.
Mickey’s Toontown Fair opened at Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park in 1988 as Mickey’s Birthdayland (renamed Mickey’s Starland in 1990). In 1996, new attractions such as The Barnstormer at Goofy’s Wiseacre Farm and Donald’s Boat were added to the area, which was renamed Mickey’s Toontown Fair.
