Tomorrowland - Disney's Magic Kingdom Park
One of the seven themed lands at Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park, Tomorrowland lies in the extreme Eastern section of the theme park, Southeast of Fantasyland and just over a bridge to the right of Cinderella Castle.
Highlights of this extremely popular section of the Magic Kingdom include Astro Orbiter, an elevated version of Dumbo the Flying Elephant in Fantasyland; Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, a popular interactive ride based on a character from Disney’s classic movie, Toy Story; Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress, a fun-filled journey through technological advances during the 20 th century; Space Mountain, a thrilling roller coaster that speeds its way through total darkness; Stitch’s Great Escape, a chaotic adventure based on the Disney animated film, Lilo & Stitch, that features state-of-the-art special effects; the Indy Speedway, one of the original attractions at Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park, dating from 1971; and Transit Authority, a futuristic vehicle that speeds its way through and around major attractions such as Space Mountain and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin.
Tomorrowland features a variety of diverse dining opportunities such as Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies, Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café (where you can hear live entertainment from Sonny Eclipse, an “intergalactic lounge singer), Lunching Pad and Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station. For souvenirs, look no farther than Geiger’s Counter, Merchant of Venus, Mickey’s Star Traders or Ursa’s Major Minor Mart.
Note: Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and Stitch’s Great Escape are all immensely popular attractions in Tomorrowland and usually draw long lines. FASTPASS is available (and strongly recommended!) for these attractions.
