Liberty Square - Disney's Magic Kingdom Park
One of the seven enchanted lands in Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park, Liberty Square lies between Frontierland and Fantasyland, just Northwest of Cinderella’s Castle. It is accessible via a bridge to the left of the entrance to the castle. After you cross the bridge, you will step back into time to the American colonies as they appeared circa 1776.
Liberty Square attractions include The Hall of Presidents, a patriotic American journey that includes a historic film and realistic, life-size audio-animatronic versions of every U.S. president; The Haunted Mansion, a classic Magic Kingdom ride that combines amazing special effects with state-of-the-art audio-animatronics; and the Liberty Square Riverboat, an authentic steam-powered, three-tiered paddle wheeler.
Don’t miss the replica of the Liberty Bell in the center of the square, which was constructed from the same authentic cast as the original in Philadelphia; the majestic Liberty Tree; or the Liberty Square stockade, a great locale for a humorous photo opportunity.
Dining opportunities in the nearby area include the Liberty Tree Tavern, which offers table service and a menu full of delicious entrees, sandwiches and salads; Columbia Harbour House, which serves sandwiches, fish and chicken baskets, salads and clam chowder; Liberty Square Market, which features fresh fruit, snacks and refreshments; and Sleepy Hollow, which offers snacks such as caramel corn, funnel cakes, ice cream, espresso, cappuccino and other refreshments. Liberty Tree Tavern also offers “Goofy’s Liberate Your Appetite” character dinners (reservations are strongly recommended).
For souvenirs of your visit to Liberty Square, look no farther than Ye Olde Christmas Shop, Heritage House, The Yankee Trader, Silversmith Shop, Liberty Square Portrait Gallery and Olde World Antiques.
