It's a Small World - Fantasyland - Disney's Magic Kingdom
Take a leisurely boat ride that magically transports you through the countries of the world as hundreds of international dolls sing and dance to the favorite childhood song at this classic Disney attraction in Fantasyland. One of the original attractions at Disney’s Magic Kingdom, “it’s a small world” actually made its debut at the 1964 New York World’s Fair.
The recently renovated “it’s a small world” ride takes approximately 10 minutes and includes nearly 300 simplistic yet charming audio-animatronic figures that represent different cultures from Europe, Asia, Africa, Central and South America and the South Pacific.
To reach “it’s a small world”, walk to the left of Cinderella’s Golden Carrousel and the ride is located on the right, across from Peter Pan’s Flight. Dining opportunities near “it’s a small world” include the Pinocchio Village Haus.
Note: Flash photography is not permitted during the “it’s a small world” ride. Several of the “it’s a small world” boats are wheelchair accessible.
UPDATE:
In a November 19, 2007, Newsweek article entitled "Mickey's Management Mojo," Daniel Gross states that "every CEO should take at least three or four rides on It's a Small World . . . It's a Small World is like an animated version of Thomas Friedman's 'The World is Flat.'"
