Dumbo the Flying Elephant - Fantasyland - Disney's Magic Kingdom
Inspired by Disney’s classic animated movie, Dumbo (1941), Dumbo the Flying Elephant is an aerial adventure similar to the Magic Carpets of Aladdin in Adventureland and Astro Orbiter in Tomorrowland in that each of the 16 elephants spins around in a circle while allowing riders to control its up and down movements. In the center of it all, Timothy Mouse orchestrates all of the action during the 1½ minute ride.
Note: Lines for Dumbo the Flying Elephant, one of the original attractions when Disney’s Magic Kingdom opened in 1971, typically become extremely long and slow during peak periods of the day. It is best to schedule your visit either very early in the morning, during the afternoon parade or late in the afternoon.
