One of the seven enchanted lands that make up Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Adventureland lies just beyond Main Street USA to the left of Cinderella Castle. Just cross the bridge and escape to a South Seas Island, the jungles of Africa, the Amazon River in South America or the mythical city of Agrabah.
Highlights of Adventureland include The Enchanted Tiki Room under the new management of Iago from Aladdin and Zazu from The Lion King; Jungle Cruise, a hilarious narrated river tour through various jungle scenarios; Magic Carpets of Aladdin, a “whimsical spin” aboard a magic carpet; Pirates of the Caribbean, an epic voyage that includes secret caves, sea battles and a bustling Caribbean island town overrun with unruly pirates; and Swiss Family Treehouse, which towers high above Disneys’ Magic Kingdom.
Casual eateries near the attractions include El Pirata Y El Perico, which serves tacos, hot dogs, nachos and taco salads; Aloha Isle, home of the famous pineapple Dole Whips; Sunshine Tree Terrace, which serves snacks and ice-cold refreshments; and Pecos Bill Café, which offers cheeseburgers, hot dogs, wraps and salads. Souvenirs are plentiful here as well at shops such as Agrabah Bazaar, Big Al’s, Bwana Bob’s, The Crow’s Nest, House of Treasure, Island Supply, Tiki Tropics and Traders of Timbuktu – all of which are located in and around Adventureland.
Note: One of Adventureland’s most popular attractions, Pirates of the Caribbean, has recently reopened to coincide with the release of the blockbuster new movie Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men’s Chest. The updated Pirates of the Caribbean at Adventureland’s Caribbean Plaza includes characters from the movie (the sequel to the Curse of the Black Pearl) such as Jack Sparrow and Barbossa, as well as new, state-of-the-art special effects, while preserving the special details that have made Pirates such a classic attraction at Disney’s Magic Kingdom.

Then I jokingly mentioned to my boyfriend that I'm "addicted" to the stuff ... ...
Have your Holiday Spending Habits Changed? So, the economy's in the toilet (I know, thanks, Captain Obvious). With the holidays lingering, I'm wondering if you're making drastic changes to how you spend those precious bucks this year.

Mickey Mouse Revue, Disney World, 1971
One of the original attractions at Disney's Magic Kingdom Park, the Mickey Mouse Revue opened in Fantasyland in 1971 and featured an audio-animatronic orchestra of popular Disney characters (Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, Goofy, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Pluto, Scrooge McDuck and more!) singing such classics as "When ...
A new way for Central Florida to go green I have the desire to be more "green." I've yet to put that desire into motion with practice, but I'll get there. (Hopefully you found some inspiration with Erin.) One thing I have done recently is use my bank's "green" programs, which includes ordering a "green" debit ...
