An unforgettable and totally realistic thrill ride, Mission: SPACE allows you to experience what it’s like to be an astronaut as you rocket through the sky into outer space on your way to Mars.
Each member of the four-person crew (commander, pilot, navigator and engineer) has specific instructions to fulfill during the 5½-minute, simulated space flight, which takes place at the “ International Space Training Center” and utilizes state-of-the-art special effects. Motion sickness bags are available just in case.
Mission: SPACE, which cost approximately $100 million to construct, officially opened at Epcot in the fall of 2003 at the site of the former Horizons attraction. The thrill ride is located in the Northwest corner of Future World. After your Mission: SPACE adventure, don't miss an opportunity to check out the Advanced Training Lab, an interactive play area.
Height Restriction: You must be at least 44 inches tall to ride Mission: SPACE. Be sure to read all of the warnings posted at the entrance to this ride before getting in line.
RICH'S TIP: FASTPASS is available for Mission: SPACE and strongly recommended since lines for the thrill ride are regularly among the longest at Epcot.
