According to Disney legend, Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park was initially intended as Florida’s first ski resort after a freak Florida snowstorm hit the theme park. However, hot temperatures returned and melted the snow and ski trails transformed into thrilling water slides!

Quick-service dining options at Disney's Blizzard Beach include Avalunch, Lottawatta Lodge and Polar Pub. Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park also rents towels, life vests and lockers. In addition, picnic areas are available. The Beach Haus at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park sells souvenirs, T-shirts, sunglasses, hats, bathing suits, suntan lotion, beach towels and more.
