The Orlando Science Center features more than 200,000 square feet of fun-filled interactive programs and hands-on activities that will appeal to kids and adults alike. The ever-popular Kids Town exhibit allows children to climb a tree, crawl underground and even turn oranges into orange juice! Dig for dinosaur fossils at the DinoDigs: Mysteries Unearthed exhibit and stroll through the fascinating Florida Everglades exhibit.
The Orlando Science Center also boasts the eight-story-tall Dr. Phillips Cinedome that projects large-format IMAX films, Crosby Observatory and a full-service café. Annual events at the Orlando Science Center include the Global Peace Film Festival in late September and the Spooktacular Science Extravaganza in late October. A temporary exhibit, "Discover the Daytona 500," can be viewed at the Orlando Science Center through January 6, 2008.
Museum hours are 9 AM to 5 PM Tuesday through Thursday, 9 AM to 9 PM Friday and Saturday and 12 PM to 5 PM Sunday. Admission to the Orlando Science Center is $14.95 for adults, $13.95 for ages 65+, $13.95 for students with ID and $9.95 for ages 3 to 11. There is also a parking fee of $3.50.

Titanic - The Experience has docked at the Orlando Science Center for a limited engagement that started on December 15, 2007 and will last through December 2008. This interactive, guided walk-through exhibit presents a fascinating glimpse of the ill-fated ocean liner, which hit an iceberg April 14, 1912, and sank in the early morning hours of April 15, 1912. Call ahead for information on Titanic-The Experience ticket prices.
RICH'S TITANIC - THE EXPERIENCE REVIEW: We took the kids to the Titanic exhibit at the Orlando Science Center on a Sunday morning and for OSC members it was just $7 for adults and $5 for kids. However, for non-members the price is $23 for adults and $18 for kids. Tours run every hour on the hour. The Titanic exhibit is set up in a way to make you feel like you're an actual passenger on the Titanic for its maiden voyage. You receive a boarding pass with the actual name of someone who was on the ship (unfortunately, I was 1st Officer William McMaster Murdoch, who ended up going down with the ship!). At the end of the tour, you can even find out if the person listed on your boarding pass survived the Titanic or not. Titanic - The Experience features tour guides in period costume (ours was the "Unsinkable" Molly Brown) and authentic re-creations a first-class cabin, dining area, boiler room, deck and magnificent grand staircase. Throughout it all, you can marvel at various Titanic exhibits and artifacts. After you stroll through the ship, you can browse through a larger Titanic exhibit area and gift shop. All in all, Titanic - The Experience was a most worthwhile experience and highly recommended for visitors and locals alike!
