Charles Hosmer Museum of American Art
445 Park Avenue North, Winter Park, Florida 407-645-5311 Highlights of The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art, which was founded by Jeannette Genius McKean in 1942, include the most comprehensive collection of the works of Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933) in the world and a diverse collection of American art pottery, as well as late 19th- and early 20th-century American paintings, graphics and decorative arts.
The Charles Hosmer Museum of American Art includes the work of Daniel Chester French, John Singer Sargent, Rembrandt Peale, Thomas Hart Benton, Grant Wood and much more. Don’t miss an opportunity to browse through the Museum’s delightful shop. Museum hours are 9:30 AM to 4 PM Tuesday through Saturday and 1 to 4 PM Sunday. Update: The Charles Hosmer Museum of American Art has announced plans for a 10,000-square-foot addition to cost up to $7 million and scheduled for completion in spring 2010.
