T-Rex Cafe: A Prehistoric Family Adventure, A Place to Eat, Shop, Explore and Discover, a themed, interactive restaurant that boasts life-size dinosaurs, a “Kitchen of Fire,” ice cave room and 26-foot-high lava wall, open ed at Downtown Disney® Marketplace on October 14, 2008. Enjoy pizza, pasta, burgers, sandwiches, seafood, chicken, steak, salads and soup at T-Rex Cafe. Sample menu items include Caesarsaurus, Raptor Ribs, Pterodactyl Wings, Triassic Tortellini, T-Rex Bone-In Rib Eye and Gigantosaurus Burger. A children's menu is available. Save room for the delicious desserts such as Chocolate Extinction, S-more-asaurus, Meteor Bites, Dino-Mite Chocolate Cake and Cosmic Cheesecake.
Kids will love to explore the interactive and educational Paleo Zone, excavate a dinosaur's fossils at the Discovery Dig and pan for precious stones, fossils and minerals at Discovery Creek. The Dino Store features a diverse selection of souvenirs for all ages. T-Rex Cafe also boasts the first-ever Build-A-Dino by Build-A-Bear Workshop.
