Orlando Hotels Filling Up Fast for 2008 International Builders' Show
More than 100,000 people are expected to descend upon Orlando once again for the 2008 International Builders' Show (IBS), which will take place February 13-16, 2008, at the Orange County Convention Center. Hosted by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the 2008 IBS will features approximately one million net square feet of exhibits showcasing the innovative products and services aimed specifically at the residential and light commercial construction industries.
Many Orlando hotels are filling up quickly to accommodate the four-day IBS expo - known as the "world's largest annual light construction show" - which will feature approximately 1,900 exhibitors for 2008. In fact, some top online hotel providers are already running low on inventory.
Location is definitely a key consideration when you research the appropriate hotel to book during your stay in Orlando for the 2008 International Builders' Show. The 2.1-million-square Orange County Convention Center itself lies along world-famous International Drive, which boasts dozens of hotels, motels and resorts, as well as specialty shops, unique attractions, factory outlet stores, eclectic restaurants, nightlife and bustling entertainment complexes such as Pointe*Orlando.
If you prefer to stay closer to Walt Disney World Resort, a variety of hotel chains can be found within Lake Buena Vista across from Downtown Disney or along State Road 535 (Apopka-Vineland Road). Many of these properties offer complimentary scheduled shuttle transportation to Walt Disney World theme parks, as well as Universal Orlando and/or SeaWorld Orlando. So in your free time you can take the shuttle over to Disney World, which has extended its Year of a Million Dreams celebration throughout 2008 and will award more than one million more dreams through the Disney Dreams Getaway.
In addition, Westgate Resorts offers several luxurious accommodation choices throughout Central Florida such as Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa, a lush tropical paradise nestled just off Interstate 4 between Disney World and Universal Orlando. Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa lies within a 10-minute drive of the Orange County Convention Center and features spacious villas and onsite amenities such as numerous outdoor pools, a world-class health spa called Papillon the Spa at Westgate Lakes Resort, watersports and an onsite restaurant, the award-winning Westgate Smokehouse Grill.
