Some of the best and biggest names in the comic book industry descend on the Orange County Convention Center February 27 through March 1, 2009, for MegaCon 2008, the Southeast's largest comics and pop culture convention! The three-day MegaCon event features comic books, as well as science fiction, anime, gaming and multimedia.
MegaCon 2009 will take place in Hall D, which is located in the West Building at the Orange County Convention Center (9899 International Drive). Showroom hours are 1 PM to 7 PM Friday, February 27; 10 AM to 6 PM Saturday, February 28; and 10 AM to 5 PM Sunday, March 1, 2009. Note: Many events will take place in breakout rooms after showroom hours.
Scheduled media guests for MegaCon 2009 will include Tricia Helfer ("Battlestar Galactica"), James Callis ("Battlestar Galactica"), Luciana Carro ("Battlestar Galactica"), Dirk Benedict ("Battlestar Galactica," "A-Team"), Anne Lockhart ("Battlestar Galactica"), Melody Anderson ("Battlestar Galactica," "Flash Gordon"), Jennifer Halley ("Battlestar Galactica"), Alaina Huffman ("Black Canary," "Smallville"), Phillip Morris ("Smallville"), Mickey Dolenz (The Monkees), Lou Ferrigno ("Incredible Hulk"), Peter Mayhew (Star Wars), Richard LeParmentier (Star Wars), Michael Papajohn (Spiderman 3), Margot Kidder (Superman), James Hampton (Teen Wolf), Vic Mignogna (Dragonball Z, Fullmetal Alchemist) and many others.
Admission at the door is $24 for a one-day ticket and $55 for a three-day ticket. One child 10 and under will be admitted free with one paying adult. Advance ticket prices are $22.37 (one-day ticket) and $52.19 (three-day ticket). Tickets may be purchased online at www.megaconvention.com or by phone at 386-364-1826 (9 AM-6 PM EST, Monday through Friday). All tickets purchased in advance can be picked up at the Advance Ticket Booth window in front of Hall D (bring photo ID).
