Highlights: The Miami Museum of Science & Planetarium, which first opened its doors in 1966, boasts a state-of-the-art planetarium with a SPITZ Space Transit Planetarium star projector, animated live star shows, laser light shows, Weintraub Observatory, hands-on exhibits and numerous education programs for all ages. The museum is also home to Jack Horkheimer’s Star Gazer, the world’s only weekly TV series on “naked-eye astronomy.”
