The Walt Disney World Marathon itself costs $125 and covers race registration, official race program, commemorative Champion Race Tech Shirt, goody bag, event weekend transportation for Walt Disney World Resort hotels only, personalized bibs, on-course refreshments, on-course Disney entertainment, post-race refreshments, family reunion area with live entertainment, post-race celebration entry, certificate for finishers of the race and Mickey Mouse medal for finishers.
The 15th-annual Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend took place January 10-13, 2008, and drew more than 40,000 runners. Brazilian Adriano Bastos won his fifth Walt Disney World Marathon (with a time of 2:20:58), while Melanie Peters of St. Petersburg, Florida, claimed the women's title.
