Adjacent to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Adventure Island first opened its doors in 1980 and features 30 acres of thrilling waterslides and other attractions such as a wave pool and children’s water playground. Don’t miss the Rambling Bayou lazy river ride, Endless Surf wave pool and waterslides with names like “Calypso Coaster,” “Runaway Rapids,” “Wahoo Run,” “Gulf Scream” and “Paradise Lagoon.” The premises include sunbathing and picnic areas, outdoor cafes, video arcades, gift shops and a championship white-sand volleyball complex.
