An entertainment mecca, the 120-acre Downtown Disney® Area (once known as Disney Village Marketplace) at Walt Disney World® Resort offers visitors the opportunity to dine, shop and dance, as well as enjoy fun-filled shows and activities from sunup until well after sundown. A water taxi at the Downtown Disney® Marketplace dock is available for guests of Disney's Old Key West Resort, Disney's Port Orleans Resort and Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa.
At Downtown Disney® Marketplace, you’ll find amusing venues for the kids such as Pooh Corner and the LEGO Imagination Center. Downtown Disney® Marketplace also features such restaurants as the Rainforest Cafe, T-Rex Cafe and Fulton's Crab House, as well as a marina and boat rental.
Downtown Disney® West Side provides outstanding eateries like Wolfgang Puck Café, Planet Hollywood and Bongos Cuban Cafe. Experience the DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park and the Cirque du Soleil show, La Nouba, a groundbreaking spectacle that combines theatrical effects, daring aerobatics, dance, circus acts, comedy and live music.
Last but certainly not least is Downtown Disney®Pleasure Island – which was closed in the fall of 2008 for renovations that will include the addition of new restaurants and stores over the next few years.
